All tied up: Clara Amaguru of Burnaby demonstrates some of the techniques that helped her win the the best braider award at the 2000 World Natural Hair and Beauty Show in Atlanta, Ga. A former partner of Abantu Studios in Metrotown, she recently opened her own Amaguru Hair Salon on Kingsway, near Royal Oak.
